Waterborne pigment concentrate

Resin-free pigment concentrate based on carbon black PBk 7 and a combination of TEGO® Dispers 760 W and TEGO® Dispers 755 W

The water-based pigment concentrate based on COLOUR BLACK FW 255 achieved by this formulation is resin-free and can be used for tinting of a broad variety of water-based base paints and coatings. The colorant has a low influence on water resistance. It can be used for premium façade coatings, industrial coatings and wood coatings. TEGO® Dispers 750 W stabilizes the pigment, TEGO® Dispers 760 W helps the pigment wetting, reduces the viscosity and improves color strength and jetness. Pigment loading and additive dosage are developed for grinding purposes. Pigment loading and rheology might need to be adjusted for use in a dispenser.

Preparation

Prepare a premix from positions 1 - 6 and add while stirring.
Add component 7 while stirring.
Grind with appropriate equipment until stable color strength has been reached.
Adjust pH to 8.5.
