Universal pigment concentrate

Universal colorant based on iron oxide yellow PY 42 and TEGO® Dispers 651 in combination with TEGO® Dispers 652

The universal colorant based on BAYFERROX® 3920 achieved by this formulation is water-based and can be used for tinting of water-based base paints and solvent-based alkyd paints. The colorant can even be used for facade coatings and paints with higher pH-values, especially in POS. Pigment loading and additive dosage are developed for grinding purposes. Pigment loading and rheology might need to be adjusted for use in a dispenser.

Preparation

Prepare a premix from positions 1 - 7 and add while stirring.
Add component 8 while stirring.
Grind with appropriate equipment until stable color strength has been reached.
Adjust pH to 8.5.
