Waterborne pigment concentrate

Resin-free pigment concentrate based on iron oxide yellow PY 42 and TEGO® Dispers 757 W

The water-based pigment concentrate based on BAYFERROX® 3920 achieved by this formulation is resin-free and can be used for tinting of a broad variety of water-based base paints and coatings. The colorant has a very low influence on coating resistances like steam cleaner resistance. It can be used for anti-corrosion coatings, industrial coatings and even automotive coatings. Pigment loading and additive dosage are developed for grinding purposes. Pigment loading and rheology might need to be adjusted for use in a dispenser.

Preparation

Prepare a premix from positions 1 - 5 and add while stirring.

Add component 6 while stirring.

Grind with appropriate equipment until stable color strength has been reached.

Adjust pH to 8.5.
